At what distance does the radar detect vehicles?
The 79 GHz millimeter-wave radar reliably detects vehicles at ranges up to 6 m with high angular resolution, fully covering the approach zone to the barrier.
Does the sensor replace induction loops?
Yes. The radar replaces loop detectors and infrared photocells: it detects vehicles, pedestrians and obstacles without cutting the road surface, simplifying installation and maintenance.
How does boom impact protection work?
The sensor monitors the area under the arm in real time: if a vehicle or pedestrian appears, the barrier stops lowering and raises the arm to prevent a collision.
Does the sensor work in rain, snow and frost?
Yes. The housing is rated IP65 (weather-resistant for the Singapore climate), and the millimeter-wave radar is unaffected by precipitation, fog, dust and temperature changes.
How is the sensor configured?
Configuration is done over Bluetooth from a smartphone app: detection zone, sensitivity and trigger delay are set without opening the housing.

The sensor has standard relay outputs and works with BAROXON barriers as well as most universal barrier and gate operators.
